Intuit QuickBooks is continuing its mission to support accountants by launching a weekly video show and hosting an "Accountant Care Jam."

Seeking to make QuickBooks more efficient and user-friendly for accountants, the new "snackable" videos are designed to provide an accessible way for users to learn about what's new across the platform.

Meanwhile, the "Accountant Care Jam" sought to bridge the gap between the engineers building solutions on the QuickBooks platform and their accountant end-users.

A fresh take on "In the Know"

Intuit has spun off its "In the Know" ProAdvisor webinar into a weekly video series on YouTube. These fun and fresh videos, hosted by Jaclyn Anku, cover the latest product updates on the QuickBooks platform.

ProAdvisor correspondents like Carla Caldwell, Michael Ly, Nato Carter-Gray, and Dan Luthi will join Anku to discuss the features of each update, granting users a succinct way to stay informed without taking too much time out of their day.

Despite the shift to weekly videos, the traditional monthly webinars will continue. These hour-long sessions offer a deep dive into new features and improvements and provide attendees up to one CPE credit. Interested accountants can sign up here.

The Accountant Care Jam

In a bid to further align its services with the needs of accountants, Intuit recently hosted an "Accountant Care Jam." This week-long event brought together over 300 QuickBooks employees from around the world, including product managers, engineers, designers, and customer experience specialists.

The goal was to address user feedback from accountants together while fostering a deeper understanding of their day-to-day challenges.

During the Care Jam, teams focused on 80 improvement requests—nearly 60 of which were implemented within the week. Some of the notable enhancements include:

  • Adding an "Apps flyout" to the global header in QuickBooks Online Accountant Client view, allowing accountants to access client apps and identify any errors quickly
  • Saving customization options for column sizing in the QuickBooks Bank Transactions tab
  • Improving the Primary Admin transfer process by clearly stating that the invitation must be accepted for the transfer to be completed

The Care Jam was immediately followed by one of Intuit's Global Engineering Days (GED), a biannual event where Intuit technologists work on solving customer problems across all of Intuit’s products and services. This allowed teams to continue addressing the requests they couldn't complete during the Care Jam.

Continuous improvement and future updates

Intuit's commitment to improving the QuickBooks platform doesn't end with its new video series, the Care Jam, or the GED. Intuit also encourages accountants to stay informed about the latest developments by checking the Firm of the Future website.

By launching the new weekly "In the Know" format and hosting the Accountant Care Jam, Intuit QuickBooks is reinforcing its dedication to supporting accountants. These efforts not only address immediate improvement requests but also build a stronger, more empathetic relationship between Intuit and its accountant partners.
