Since 2016, the Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based CAS firm Emerald Expectations Accounting has striven to, according to its founder Kimberly Ferguson, “eliminate entrepreneurial poverty.” It seeks to do so by providing its clients with everything they need to streamline their financial processes through what they call the “Emerald Path,” a formula for success developed by the company.

Ferguson said winning the award two years in a row “is one of the biggest compliments we can receive in business.” Though the Emerald Expectations team of four is located all over the United States, they took the time to celebrate their place in the Woodard Top 50 by enjoying virtual doughnuts and coffee together.
