At the annual Scaling New Heights® conference, Woodard™ revealed the winners of its esteemed 2023 Top 50 Accounting Services Practice Awards. Designed to honor and celebrate exceptional accounting services practices throughout the United States, the awards spotlight those practices that best embody the characteristics of top-tier performance—intentionality, specialization, efficiency, effectiveness, profitability, and scalability.
"We are thrilled to inaugurate this award to commend practices that excel in client accounting and advisory services (CAAS)," said Joe Woodard, founder and CEO of Woodard™. "These practices are not just adapting to the substantial disruptions in the profession, they are innovating and paving new pathways to support and transform their business clients."
This recognition marks an exceptional achievement for the awarded practices during a period of significant transformation in the industry. The winners' list can be accessed on Woodard's official website, https://www.woodard.com/top-50-accounting-services-practice. Accounting Services practices of all sizes, from sole practitioners to large firms, are eligible for this prestigious award. Owners or team members of these practices can either nominate their own practices or propose other practices for the award. The nomination period for the 2024 awards will commence on August 1, 2023, and close on December 31, 2023.
Once nominated, practices that finish the subsequent application process will be meticulously evaluated by an expert panel comprised of external consultants as well as Woodard's own team of bookkeeping and practice coaches. This panel collectively boasts more than 100 years of leadership experience in practice.
The award is open to practices that primarily offer accounting services to small business clients. Bookkeeping firms that include some tax preparation services in their offerings also qualify for the award. However, CPA practices or other practices whose principal business model is tax or attestation, even if they have bookkeeping departments, are not eligible for this award.
Woodard plans to launch a separate award, the "Top 50 CAS Practices," specifically to honor CPA firms.
