Intuit is currently in talks with MailChimp, the Atlanta based email marketing company that is privately owned. Reports are that the purchase price is over $10 billion. No decisions have been made by either company and talks could fall through.
Swizznet, a cloud-based hosting solution, has promoted two team members to senior executive positions to drive continued growth. Mandy Cozby has been promoted to senior vice president, Sales, while Jamie Finley has been promoted to senior vice president, Finance. Swizznet provides secure and reliable access to a range of desktop applications, including Sage, GoldMine, QuickBooks and others. The company is an Intuit-authorized commercial hosting provider and a Microsoft cloud solution provider.
AI accounting solution provider Vic.ai has secured $50 million in series B funding. The company will use the funds to increase adoption of its AI platform. According to Alexander Hagerup, CEO of Vic.ai, “Accounting work is tedious and repetitive, but it no longer needs to be. Our AI platform delivers both autonomy and intelligence for finance and accounting teams. We can help companies scale back on low-value activities like invoice processing, and we can drive higher-value functions like spend intelligence, benchmarking and cost optimization.”
