Here are a few stories from the past 24 hours that might interest you, including news about the recent Microsoft Windows print spooler service vulnerability with a link to the most recent Microsoft Windows Security Updates.

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency issued an emergency directive yesterday requiring all federal civilian agencies "to immediately disable the print spooler service on Microsoft Active Directory Domain Controllers, apply the Microsoft July 2021 cumulative updates, and make additional configuration changes to all Microsoft Windows servers and workstations within one week." Both Avalara and Vertex have been busy responding to the significant changes the European Union began on July 1st for VAT obligations for B2C ecommerce. Avalara announced updates to their solution, VATlive, to meet EU requirements. Vertex acquired Taxamo to ensure that their solution is in full compliance with these change requirements.

Acumatica users now have vendor payments automation through Repay, provider of vertically integrated payment solutions. The  addition of Acumatica's AP Vendor Payments gives users both AR and AP payment automation capabilities with Repay. 

Another payables automation solution, Tipalti, announced revenue growth by more than 80% in the first half of 2021 over the first half of 2020, adding new industry partnerships and an acquisition of Approve.com, a cloud procurement solutions provider. The company currently employs nearly 600 and plans to hire 200 additional employees in the second half of 2021.
