QuickBooks has launched Trada by QuickBooks, a new platform for small businesses that sell wholesale goods. Sage has announced plans to acquire Lockstep, developers of accounting workflow automation technology that is cloud native. Lockstep was founded in 2019 and has quickly grown quickly since that time; the company's 130 employees will be joining Sage. According to Sage CTO Aaron Harris, Lockstep's "complementary portfolio of products, resources, and know-how accelerates our ambition to be the trusted network for SMBs."

AvidXchange has launched an API for Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT®. The seamless integration on the AvidConnect platform allows for automatic syncing of GL codes, vendor lists, invoices and payments between AvidSuite and Blackbaud. Financial Edge NXT. Keeper.app, the month-end close tool or bookkeepers, is expanding the capabilities of its Client Portal to include file requests and files management. Keeper's new embedded files system gives clients one place to securely upload and view files. Those files sit alongside Keeper’s existing tools for managing uncategorized transactions, management reporting, and 1099s. Powered by Keeper's two-way QuickBooks sync, this upgrade now gives accountants a true all-in-one solution for communicating with bookkeeping clients. 

The tax and regulatory reporting experts at Sovos will host a webinar on August 23 at 3:00 pm EDT to discuss the tax implications and compliance challenges arising from the significant shift in employment during the past few years.
